D. 58 year old Female.  U.K. North Wales

11 weeks IF in Sept. 2020

I’m now 6 years cancer free. Clean Intermittent Fasting is now giving my body time to rest and heal instead of years & years of yo yo dieting... I finally feel so free!

No more going to bed at night with the dreaded mindset I’d trashed my diet that day!

I now wake with the amazing feeling that for once in my life, I am finally the one in control of my body.  Words can’t describe the true freedom I feel!

Thank you Carin for your in-depth knowledge on this mind blowing way of life ...just wished we had met a while back!

That it has to fit into your life and that takes some time to figure out

It’s hard to realize that you can eat things which have been “forbidden” but portion control still counts

I don’t do the long fasts because I do not feel well when I do and that may not work for everyone

46 Year Old Female: 4 months CIF

I was soooooo swollen before Clean IF!!!!

Though the results are miraculous, they do not happen overnight so one must trust the process and not give up faith.

Have something that you can go to that will show you your body is changing even when the scale does not move - for example, a “goal” dress you have not worn in years.  Try it on every few weeks to see if it fits differently.

Water, a little good salt and about 10 minutes can get you through almost any hunger sensation.

Even if you can’t fast as long as you hoped for in the beginning (bc it takes some time to feel natural), you are still giving your body a little bit more rest than you did the day before.

68 Year Old Male: Type 2 Diabetic: 10 months CIF

1. Start slow. Give it a chance. Let your body adjust to the new feelings.

2. If you miss a day or 2 just start over the next day.

3. The incredible energy improvement will become very noticeable and will make you want to keep moving forward.

4. This is not a diet folks. This is a lifestyle !! This is the easiest, most effective way to feel better and feel younger. Oh yeah, and losing weight (35 lbs ) is a bonus !!

  1. Things you think you just cant give up- are easily dismissed because you start feeling less bloated right away- that gives you a real boost to dig in

  2. 2.I still have an issue with water - but I use the 2 apps and they provide a sense of accomplishment that help.

  3. 3. Skin tags disappeared :)

Easy to follow (just don't eat lol)

You can use a timer app like zero or just watch the clock

It's cheap. Save on food cost, nothing special to buy or meetings to pay for.

I would say:   IF is a life style change, it is not trying to stick to a diet.  I have never ever been able to diet, a diet requires too much thinking, forethought, effort and energy. IF does not, it’s simply a reorganization of ones meal times.  2 major changes for me are a trimmer upper body and lots more energy.  The reshaping might continue if I could stop the ice cream!!!  The extra energy and clearer mind translate to more productivity and purpose.  I am a fan of the IF process and it was surprisingly easy to adapt to my life.

1)It’s going to be a way of life, not a means to an end. “ oh I’ll stop when I lose 10 pounds”

2)Trust the process and don’t panic because your body will show you your BEST, because you’re in control of your body

3)It is a journey...the first steps are always daunting...but take them anyway!

76 Year Old Male: 10 Months CIF

Entering IF - male, mid seventies, active and I thought 15 to 20 lbs overweight but considered myself in pretty good shape but wanted to shed the extra weight.  Started with 13-11 and that lasted two weeks spent the next 12 weeks at 16 - 8 with some positive results in energy level, lower resting heart rate and weight loss.   Next I went to 18-6 with similar results.  In March I went to 20-4 and that’s when the real changes took hold.  The rate of weight loss stayed the same but the body shape changed dramatically (from 38” waist to 30”).  During the day I felt compelled (just wanted to) to walk or ride a bike at noon time.   My resting heart rate is down to 46 bpm and over the past 10 months lost 35 pounds.   IF is for me a healthier life style that is very enjoyable.
